Chinen Misaki Park
Chinen Misaki Park is a cape park overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Kudaka Island, a fitting starting point for a journey along Nanjo City's eastern side.

Jutting out from the tip of the Chinen Peninsula, Chinen Misaki Park is the scenic viewpoint to visit first in Nanjo. Open sea surrounds it on three sides; straight ahead lies Kudaka, the island of the gods, with the small island of Komaka floating in the foreground. An unbroken horizon, and a sea breeze that reaches right to your feet — standing here, you understand at once that a journey through Nanjo belongs to the sea.
The park is well maintained, with a grassy lawn, walking paths, and shaded rest pavilions. A gentle downhill slope leads to the tip of the cape, and the path makes for an easy, unhurried walk. In the morning, light rising out of the Pacific spreads across the surface of the water — the most beautiful hour of the day here. No special staging is needed; wind and light alone make this a place you will remember.
The adjacent Ganju Station Nanjo has a tourist information desk, along with parking and restrooms. Sefa-utaki and Azama Port, the gateway to Kudaka Island, are both close by, making this an ideal starting point for exploring the east coast. Choose a clear day, take in the sea from this cape first, and let your day in Nanjo begin from here.
