Model Courses | Half-Day, Full-Day and Themed | Visit Nanjo
Half-day, full-day and themed routes around Nanjo, with travel times and transport for each.

Nanjo is a place you would shortchange by planning on map distances alone. Time to feel the wind at the cape, time to compose yourself before approaching Sefa-utaki, time to wait for the boat to Kudaka Island, time to pause on Ou Island at the aroma of freshly fried tempura — it is the unhurried moments between destinations that bring out what makes Nanjo itself. Here we offer itineraries you can choose to suit the length and purpose of your trip.
The half-day course links sea views with a first taste of local culture in a short span of time, centered on Chinen Misaki Park, the area around Sefa-utaki, and the Nirai and Kanai Bridges. The one-day course combines the coast, an island, a theme park, and stops for food — an easy flow for family trips and first visits to Nanjo. The sacred-sites course follows a quiet route befitting places of prayer, keeping to the areas open to visitors and the official guidance.
These itineraries are not meant to be completed in full. Weather, walking conditions, your travel companions, ferry operations, and facility bookings will naturally reshape any trip. Each course notes stops you can comfortably skip, places that swap in easily on rainy days, and ways to think about avoiding crowds.
Start with half a day, or a full one. Choose a plan that lets you walk unhurried between the sea and places of prayer. Ferry schedules and booking conditions change often, so it is wise to confirm with each transport operator and facility's official channels before setting out.
